The Marcelo Casillan Foundation, in collaboration with the DepED and the Binalatongan Historical and Cultural Society invites you and your constituents to participate in putting up your own cultural exhibits during the PASANTING festival to be held at the Central I Swimming Pool grounds on November 12, 2010 (Friday) from 8:00 am to 6;00 pm.
The objective of this festival is to be able to bring together school administrators, teachers, students, professionals in the public, private, and business sectors, community leaders and other organizations, etc. in San Carlos City to bond together in putting up their own cultural exhibits to make it a truly San Carlosan festive cultural event.
There will be no registration fee when you put up your own display of exhibits but you have to put up your own banderitas (buntings) and at least one pabitin (bamboo lattices) to make your surrounding truly festive and attractive. The program of activities that will include musical and literary renditions, folk and ballroom dancing, aerobics, palaro, swimming exhibition and whatever talents you may want to present. The Festival will start with a BANG!… a band going around the town to make the citizenry aware of the festive event.
Exhibits will be in the form of ornaments (dresses, umbrellas hats fans, trinkets paintings, pictures, book, magazines, bandanas, Bibles, flags, ceramics, pottery, mats, food items (fruits, kakanins, ulams, bagoong, green mangoes, bread, cookies, juices, soft drinks), multi-colored ribbons, coconuts, bucayo, suman, bibingka, camote, cassava, vegetables, pet birds and pet dogs, rosaries, religious images (Blessed Virgin and Santo Nino) toys, balls, blankets. These items may come from your houses or borrowed from neighbors to make your booths colorful and attractive. You may even wear your own costumes. Avoid spending money for exhibits except for some (crepe paper maybe) for exhibits.
