  1. I’ve read some of the entries, they are quite the specimen. But I have a bit of a ruffle with the rules.

I mean… the age to contend in the contest is 16, fourth year and graduating in general.

    But this:
“[…]impressive backgrounds: PhDs, masterals, cum laude candidate in UP, professor in La Consolacion Universiy, an outstanding physician awardee, ABS-CBN anchor, school principal, a US-based multi-awarded Information professional in the US, a UP graduate, editor-in-chief of a newspaper, consultant of governance, etc.”

How the contendees are in such latitude in life, it seems a bit unfair to who really needs the prize cash.
“(P30,000 for the first prize, P20,000 for the 2nd, and P10,000 for the 3rd)”

May I suggest that maybe a SEPARATE contest be constituted just for high school students within the proximity of the said town to give the lateral a chance.

I, a high school student who lives in Pozorrubio, just giving my to cents.

And I hope for a hearty reply from the higher-ups.

  2. I extremely enjoyed this! I would have to say this is an very informative post that deserves mentioning elsewhere. This is for 2 types of people:current writers who are considering a other labor, and people trying to establish to become a writer.
