Bantugan School Champs and Wizards Garner Awards

Penuliar, Tano, DAMATH Wizard

Two pupils of the Bantugan Elementary School won in the DAMATH contest during the District Math Festival last November 19, 2008 at Pozorrubio Central School Social Hall.

One of them was Claire Ann Penuliar who won 4th place in DAMATH contest, level 1. Claire Ann is a grade 2 pupil. She is popularly known as “Small but Terrible”. Her coach, Mrs. Iraliza B. Lorenzo was very happy for her.

The other one was Judilyn Tano. She garnered 3rd place level 2 DAMATH. Judilyn is a grade four pupil. According to her, she really had a hard time beating her contenders but at last she made it. Lydia B. Cruz and Jeaniffer A. Erpelo, her coaches, were also pround of her.

Tababan completes the top five

Maximo H. Tababan, a grade IV pupil joined the District Science Quiz Bee last October 6, 208 held at Pozorrubio Central School. During that time, he was on the 3rd day of his fever but still he tired his best to participate. Anyway his priceless effort was paid because surprisingly he completed the top five. He won fifth place in the Quiz Bee.

What made his coach smile Mrs. Mirasol P. Pantollana was when he said this “As if my fever went away for winning this contest. According to him, this was one of his best achievements. As a little but smart boy he promised himself to make it better next time.

Bantugan Elementary School joins Zone Meet

The Bantugan Elementary School athletes joined the Zone Meet last September 19, 2008 held at Haway Elementary School.

In the field of athletics from boys category, here are the winners: In 100 meter dash, 1st place was Edward Montalla, Mark Allan Ramos, 2nd place. In 400 meter dash: 1st place Rolando Regachuelo, 2nd place: Michael Drake San Antonio.

From the Girls Category: 1st place in 100 meter dash, Anna Lomibao, she also won the 1st place in 200 meter dash, 2nd place in first 100 meter dash, Precy Andaya, 2nd place in 200 meter dash is Ailyn Sebastian. In the 1st 400 meter dash we won the 1st place, Maria Mercedes Emasa.

In the field of Badminton we got the 1st place in the person of Charmaine Tibay.

In chess category, another 1st place was taken by Mandy Llena.

    My wife did not realise that Bantugan Elementary School has so many achievements to its credit, and we would love to know more.
