Pozorrubio athletes boost.
Pangasinan II’s 2nd overall rank in IRAA’08 This 2nd class town will soon be known in Region I and the rest of the country as the birthtown and the training field of athletes and their trainors. That is, if its young ones’ natural inclination towards all kinds of sports were to be encouraged and supported – continuously, tirelessly and aggressively – by its local government and the private sector.
First, the Pozorrubio Badminton Team wowed them for winning the gold in all events (singles, doubles, mixed doubles) in the secondary level, boys and girls divisions; thus emerging as 2008 IRAA’s Overall Badminton Team Champion for the 10th consecutive year. Then the young members of Dilan Elementary School Badminton Team won the Bronze in the doubles and the team events in the elementary level.
In Lawn Tennis (elementary level) Pozorrubio Central School’s Erick Fernandez won the Gold in the Singles, and Vince Carlo Ramiscal got another Gold for Doubles, thus harvesting one other Gold each for Team competition.
